Wychavon has started the annual canvass to make sure the electoral register is accurate.

All households will receive a communication asking them to check everyone over 16 living at the property is on the electoral register. Anyone missing can be added and other errors, such as incorrect name spellings, can be corrected.

Residents who have previously given Wychavon their email address will receive an email from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. containing a link and instructions about how to respond. Others will receive a text message or a letter.

The canvass is a legal requirement and Wychavon must get a response from every household. Reminders will be sent to anyone who does not respond before in-person visits are carried out to gather the needed information.

Jon Morgan, Electoral Services Manager for Wychavon District Council, said: “It’s important we keep the electoral register up-to-date, and it is as accurate as possible so people do not lose the chance to have their say at election time. Please look out for our emails, texts and letters and respond as quickly as you can. Information about how to respond is contained in the messages we are sending.”

Anyone with questions or concerns about the canvass should contact Wychavon’s elections team on 01386 565437 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
