Sports Coaches

As a parent what should you look for in a sports coach?

A Sports Coach is a qualified National Governing Body coach with relevant experience, who is committed to continuous professional development and has been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau.

They should be able to

  • Coach young people providing a high-quality, enjoyable experience
  • Develop the Fundamentals (Agility, Balance, Co-ordination) and sports skills across a number of physical activities and sports.
  • Help to keep young people in sport and providing guidance on progression opportunities.

Get into Coaching

If you are interested in coaching or getting involved in Sport and Physical Activity, you can find the courses you are looking for on the Sports Partnership websites. Whether it's First Aid, Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Sports Injuries, Coaching Children and Young People, Equity in your Coaching or more sports specific courses you should be able to find what you are looking for.
The courses run in seven different locations across Hereford and Worcestershire so you wont have to travel too far to attend.
